Honest limits: This unit is timer-controlled, so you should adjust open and close times a few times per season as daylight shifts. Measure your pop-hole before ordering and compare it with the unit dimensions above. Like any coop door, it protects a closed coop: it cannot protect birds that roost outside at night.

Will it fit my coop?

The unit measures 36 x 27 x 8 cm (14.2 x 10.6 x 3.1 in) and mounts flat on the coop wall above your pop-hole. Measure your opening and the flat wall space above it before ordering. If it does not fit, our 30-day return policy has you covered.

How hard is the installation?

The unit mounts flat on the coop wall above your pop-hole opening. You need a screwdriver and about 10 minutes. Mounting hardware and instructions are included.

What if a hen stands in the doorway?

The door closes at low speed. As with every coop door, we recommend checking that your flock is inside during the first evenings while your hens learn the new routine.

Do I need to adjust it through the year?

Yes, a few times per season. The door is timer-controlled, so as daylight shifts you simply reprogram the open and close times directly on the unit. It takes a few steps and the instructions walk you through it.
